A general comparison of common routes to the ARRT CT credential, not specific to any provider. Placement and outcomes are not guaranteed.
CT is a post-primary ARRT credential, so you must already be certified and registered in Radiography (ARRT(R)), Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Radiation Therapy. This program adds CT to a credential you already hold. If you are not yet a registered technologist, reach out and we will point you to the right starting pathway.
No. There is no entry-level pathway to ARRT CT. Every CT technologist first earns a primary credential (most commonly Radiography) and then adds CT as a post-primary credential. This program is the second step, not the first.
Three parts: 16 hours of ARRT Category A structured education delivered online, support completing the 125 clinical competency repetitions ARRT requires, and registry exam preparation aligned to the current ARRT CT content specifications.
Yes. If your current site has a CT scanner, you can complete your repetitions there. If it does not, we place you through our network of 334+ clinical sites across 38 states so you can log and verify the required procedures.
Most working techs finish in about 3 to 6 months. The 16 hours of structured education are quick; the timeline mostly depends on how fast you accumulate your clinical repetitions, which is faster if you already work where CT is performed.
ARRT requires 125 total repetitions across its required categories. Each procedure is verified by an ARRT registered technologist or an interpreting physician and logged in your My ARRT Info account. We provide the competency framework and verifier guidance.
You earn the ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) credential, which is awarded by the ARRT after you complete its structured education, clinical competency, and examination requirements. Tesla MR provides the education and clinical placement; the credential itself is issued by ARRT.
Structured education is delivered as ARRT Category A continuing education through the same ARRT-recognized provider approval that powers our MRI program. The Computed Tomography credential is awarded by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon completion of its structured education, clinical competency, and examination requirements. Tesla MR provides the education and clinical placement; it does not issue the ARRT credential.
